Virginia Riding Team

Maya is a 4th-year majoring in Environmental Science on a pre-PA track. She grew up riding in her home state, Alaska, and hopes to continue after graduation. Her favorite memories with Virginia Riding are team dinners after horse shows, and her favorite team horse is Lars!

Isabelle is a 4th-year majoring in French and Human Biology from Roanoke, VA. She grew up riding western at 3 and switched to the English world in high school. Her favorite memories with VAR are away shows and pasta dinner. Her favorite team horse is Nanna. 

Allie is a 3rd-year majoring in Commerce with concentrations in Marketing and Management. She has been riding for 11 years and currently competes in the hunters and equitation with her horse Noble. Her favorite memories with Virginia Riding are double-header weekends at Virginia Tech, and her favorite team horse is Archer. 

Annabel is a 2nd-year Commerce major from San Francisco. She grew up showing in the Jumpers and aspires to get back in the Jumper ring post grad. Her favorite riding memory is the horseback safaris she experienced in South Africa during her gap year. Her favorite team horses are Nermal and Semi. 

Tash is a 3rd-year student majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Entrepreneurship and is graduating a year early! She is from Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania, and grew up riding, making horses a part of her life for many years. Her favorite Virginia Riding memory is the Big/Little Reveal, when she found out who her big was! Her favorite team horse is Nana! 

Lila is a 2nd year majoring in Neuroscience on a pre-vet track! Her favorite memories with Virginia Riding are the carpool conversations and “stealing” apples from the dining hall to bring to the horses. Her favorite team horse to hang out with is Dino and her favorite team horse to ride is Lars! She hopes to continue riding after college and compete in eventing trials.

Gwen is a 2nd-year student majoring in Studio Art and History. She grew up riding in her home, Virginia Beach, and continues to explore various disciplines. Her favorite memories with Virginia Riding are tailgating at Foxfield and Pony Prom. Her favorite team horse is Archer.

Addy is a second year majoring in nursing with hopes to become a flight nurse! She grew up riding in Gloucester, Virginia and plans on continuing post-grad. Her favorite memory with Virginia Riding is getting to go to pony prom and team dinners! Her favorite horse (pony) is Rocket!
